On March 11, 2025, the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) announced amendments to Appendix 1 of Article 3 and Appendix 4 of Article 5 in the Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Foods. The amendments came into force immediately.
- MRLs in food have been revised and been newly for the following 32 substances: Acrinathrin, Bifenthrin, Butachlor, Chlorantraniliprole, Chlormequat, Cyflumetofen, Cyfluthrin, Cyhalothrin, Cypermethrin, Deltamethrin, Dimethenamid, Etoxazole, Etridiazole, Fenbuconazole, Fenvalerate, Fluazaindolizine, Fluopicolide, Flutriafol, Fosthiazate, Glufosinate-ammonium, Heptenophos, Hymexazol, Imidacloprid, Isocycloseram, Mefentrifluconazole, Oxathiapiprolin, Penthiopyrad, Pydiflumetofen, Pyrimethanil, Quinoxyfen, Spiropidion, Tetraniliprole
- MRLs in food have been removed 2 substances: 2,4-D and Captan
- Adding Prothiofos to the list of prohibited pesticides in line with agricultural department announcement
