[Japan]. Japan's Revised MRLs for Pesticides and Veterinary Drugs in 18/09/2024.

On September 18, 2024, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) issued amendment regarding the revision of 12 pesticides and veterinary drugs in certain food products. The amendment will be implemented immediately upon publication. However, certain food products will be implemented one year after publication. The change is as follows:

  • MRLs in food have been revised for the following 10 substances: Benthiavalicarb-Isopropyl, Broflanilide, Flonicamid, Fluoxastrobin , Hexaconazole,  Isopyrazam , Polyoxin-Zinc, Prothiofos, Metaflumizone, Teflubenzuron.
  • MRLs in food have been newly established for the following 2 substance: 3-nitrooxypropanol, Phenoxyethanol.
