On December 16, 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issued Circular No. 25/2024/TT-BNNPTNT the List of pesticides allowed and prohibited for use in Vietnam. Specifically:
- The List of Pesticide Allowed for Use in Vietnam in 2024 has 98 more active substances. The largest group is insecticide with 753 active substances , an increase of 41 active substances compared to 2023. Fungicides have 725 active substances, an increase of 42 active substances compared to 2023. Herbicides have 273 active substances (an increase of 13 active ingredients), and Growth Regulators have 63 active substances (an increase of 3 active substances). The remaining rat poisons, snail poisons, supporting substances, etc. have no changes.
- The List of pesticides banned from use in Vietnam in 2024 includes 31 active substances banned from use (the number remains unchanged compared to Circular No. 09/2023/TT-BNNPTNT dated 24/10/2023).
This Circular replaces Circular No. 09/2023/TT-BNNPTNT dated October 24, 2023 and takes effect from January 30, 2025
