On July 18, 2024, Vietnam's Ministry of Health promulgated QCVN 20-1:2024/BYT, a National Technical Regulation that regulates the limits of contaminants in health supplements/dietary supplements, excluding wine products declared as health supplements.
Health supplements/dietary supplements that have been issued a Certificate of Registration of Product Declaration, manufactured before the effective date of this Circular, if not in accordance with the standards promulgated together with this Circular, shall Organizations and individuals may continue to import, trade, and circulate until the product's expiration date, unless there is a food safety warning.
From the effective date of this Circular, for Health supplements/dietary supplements that have been issued a Certificate of Registration of Product Declaration, if the manufacturer's standards are not consistent with the original standards. promulgated together with this Circular, organizations and individuals shall adjust Manufacturer Standards to comply with regulations and make notifications as prescribed in Clause 4, Article 8 of Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP February 2, 2018 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Food Safety Law.
The Circulars will take effect on August 1, 2025.
